This bench grinder has been specifically developed for sharpening tough alloys such as A2 and M2 high speed steels which are used in the manufacture of woodturning tools, chisels, knives, plane irons and carving tools.

The two 150mm diameter wheels are made from white aluminium oxide which are better suited than the carborundum wheels found on most bench grinders. With a fast cut-rate and an extensive lifespan, white aluminium oxide wheels have far less tendency to overheat a chisel or blade, keeping your tools cooler to avoid weakening the cutting edge. The coarse 60 grit wheel is 25mm wide and is fast cutting to both remove nicks and to shape and establish a basic edge. The finer 80 grit wheel is 40mm wide is used to refine and add the final cutting edge.

The high torque brushless motor is rated for continuous use and has ample power for significant stock removal. Extremely quiet in operation, the motor is mounted on a heavy cast base with a steel frame engineered for smooth, vibration-free operation. A pull-out tray beneath the base provides a water reservoir for the cooling of any tools that may become hot during the grinding process. Clear spark guards can be angled to suit your line of vision and the onboard LED lamp gives you illumination exactly where you need it. ©
