The Rutlands® brushless cordless 20V variable speed power carving kit has been specifically designed for woodworkers looking to carve, sculpt, shape or smooth even the toughest hardwoods with ease. Supplied with a 4.0Ah battery and charger, this kit delivers effortless material removal with the freedom and convenience of no trailing cords.
The kit includes 4 carving discs (curved, tapered, flat and cylindrical) and 2 rasps (ball and cylindrical), allowing all types of free-form power carving, sculpting, detailing and texturing. Each of the discs and rasps are engineered from carbon steel, undergoing an extensive hardening process to HRC45-55 to ensure durability and long-lasting sharpness. Rows of machine stitched teeth work quickly to provide rapid stock removal, with their open spacing pattern making them highly resistant to loading, whilst providing a finer surface finish.
The angle grinder features a highly efficient and maintenance-free brushless motor, offering increased power delivery and extended run times per charge. The motor is fan-cooled and features dust sealed bearings, maintaining optimal performance and reliability, even in demanding conditions. Active load monitoring ensures constant speed under load, automatically adjusting the cutting speed according to the load conditions. The variable speed control can be set between 3,000 - 8,500rpm, matched to the material and accessory for greater control, an improved finish and longer disc life. The motor drives a robust all-metal gearbox, providing superior durability and reliability during demanding, heavy-duty carving.
The ergonomically designed body features a soft rubberised overmoulding for superior comfort and grip. The top mounted slide switch prevents accidental start-up and can be locked in the on position for continuous operation. The three-position auxiliary handle can be mounted on the top, left or right-hand side and features an anti-vibration design for increased comfort and control during use. The protective guard can be adjusted tool-free to provide maximum protection without interfering with the task. The grinder is supplied with a guard, auxiliary handle, wrench, 4.0Ah battery and charger. ©
