Brushless Random Orbital Sander - 125/150mm, 5.0mm Orbit with 100 Net Abrasive Discs & Storage Case
This Rutlands® brushless random orbital sander is supplied with mixed packs of 125mm and 150mm ceramic net abrasive discs, from 80 to 320 grit, along with a tough, impact resistant tool storage case. The sander delivers maximum operator comfort, low vibration values (3.07 m/s²) and low noise (80 dB LpA). Ergonomically designed, the lightweight, low profile body allows the sander to be used for long periods without fatigue. Supplied with both 150mm and 125mm backing pads, this random orbital sander runs in a 5.0mm orbit, providing a high material removal rate whilst yielding consistent surface finishes in a range of applications.
The 350W high performance brushless motor maintains constant speed, even under heavy load, ensuring a consistent material removal rate and finish quality throughout. The soft start motor with electronic brake gradually and safely builds up speed and stops instantly. The motor operates between a 4,000 to 10,000rpm range, with the paddle lever allowing careful control of the speed between 4,000rpm and the current max rpm, set using the + and - buttons and LED indicators.
Lightweight at only 1.7kg, the sander is comfortable to use whether operated flat, vertical or overhead, and is supplied with 4 metres of removable power cable to provide unrestricted access to the project. The longer body design allows the option of a two handed grip where further control is required. The rear body dust port provides connection to the supplied 1.1 metre, 35mm dust hose which operates on a 360° swivel fitting, allowing free movement of the sander without kinking of the dust hose. Supplied with both 150mm and 125mm backing pads.
The net abrasive discs have been developed to maximise dust extraction, providing dust-free sanding when used with a connected dust extractor. Where safety and efficiency are paramount, these net abrasives will reduce exposure to the most dangerous, harmful sanding dust or toxic paint residues. Lasting six times longer than conventional abrasive discs, the ceramic aluminium oxide abrasive constantly renews its cutting edges by fragmenting during use. These durable self-renewing edges do not dull before they fragment, delivering excellent material removal rates on the toughest hardwoods, primers, painted surfaces, solid surface materials, steel (mild steel/carbon steel) and non-ferrous metals. Supplied as two mixed packs of 50 (125mm & 150mm) containing 80, 120, 180, 240 and 320 grits. ©
