The Rutlands® hanging rotary tool with flex shaft delivers fine control and smooth operation during precision work, whether carving, cutting, engraving or polishing. Powerful and compact, the highly efficient heavy-duty 300W motor ensures no stalling under load, whilst an integrated cooling system dissipates heat for long-lasting durability and consistent performance. The motor speed can be adjusted up to 21,000 RPM, reaching higher speeds and higher levels of torque than most rotary tools in its class. Supplied with the motor is an ergonomic rotary handpiece, height adjustable stand and speed control foot pedal.

Allowing frequent on-off control and the convenience of hands-free operation, the foot pedal provides smooth control throughout the entire speed range. The depth of the pedal can also be adjusted to carefully limit the maximum speed available. The pedal features an extra wide footprint for ease of use, a non-slip backing and mounting holes for more permanent fixing.

The lightweight aluminium handpiece allows prolonged use without fatigue. The main body measures 100mm long and features a grooved, non-slip surface allowing for a comfortable, pen-like grip for fine detail work. The three-jaw chuck has a 1.5mm to 6.35mm capacity, ideal for all manner of accessories including rotary burrs, drill bits, flap wheels, sanding drums and polishing mops. The 925mm long flex shaft features a durable outer sheath and spring protectors at both ends to prevent strain or overbending of the shaft. The stand will clamp securely to workbenches or tables up to 75mm thick and can be assembled at 3 different height settings: 250mm, 500mm or 750mm.
