This magnetic blast gate forms part of the Rutlands® magnetic dust hose fitting system, which allows quick, tool free switching of dust hose from one magnetic coupling to another. For dust extractors running a split dust hose line, these magnetic blast gates allow you to close off inactive branches to machines not in use, maintaining optimum air flow. 

Constructed from a strong, impact resistant ABS plastic, each blast gate features a series of rare earth magnets set into the outside face. Once pressed against a mating hose connector, they snap together securely, forming an airtight seal strong enough to withstand the weight of the connected dust hose. Blast gates can be fixed to a wall using the optional blast gate brackets (supplied separately), allowing magnetic connections to be made at a more convenient, easily accessible location.

These blast gates feature a tapered male end, providing a push fit connection into 100mm hose fittings, rubber cuff connectors or 102mm dust hose. Measuring 55mm in overall depth, the smooth internal bore ensures optimum air flow is maintained to allow the smooth passage of dust. ©
