Mitre Gauge with Extendable Fence and Micro Adjustable Flip Stop

Mitre Gauge with Extendable Fence and Micro Adjustable Flip Stop

This mitre gauge with extendable fence expands from 580mm to 975mm in length at full extension, delivering large scale workpiece support with exceptional accuracy and adjustability. The precision angle gauge moves through a 150° range and features a large scale pointer with clear graduations at every 1° increment. Positive detents at every 5° guide the gauge into position, to both reduce setup time and ensure repeatable accuracy.

The mitre gauge sits on a 19mm wide by 9.5mm deep by 600mm long hardened aluminium slider bar, designed for industry standard 19mm by 9.5mm mitre slots. The bar features a series of 5 expansion discs to ensure zero side play and friction-free travel within table saw and router table mitre channels. When used within T-slot mitre channels, the 22mm removable steel disc at the end of the bar holds the bar level, supporting the weight of the mitre gauge should it be pulled back off the worktable.

Set atop the 75mm tall fence is a stainless steel measuring scale, laser etched in 1mm graduations. The fence extends to reveal a secondary scale, providing a seamless, continuous readout from 0 to 890mm. The flip stop can be zeroed to the saw blade kerf to allow precise crosscuts without having to measure or mark your stock. The flip stop features micro-fine adjustment, allowing movements as small as 0.01mm for exceptional cross-cutting accuracy. Both flip stop and fence can be removed and re-assembled in a left or right hand configuration, suitable for use in mitre slots either side of the saw blade.

The front face of the fence is ribbed for superior workholding, and the underside features a slick, low friction strip to deliver a smooth gliding motion across the worktable. The removable end piece leaves a 45° fence angle, providing zero clearance support when making 45° cuts, supporting your stock closer to the saw blade to prevent dangerous kickback. Additional angle detents at 54, 67.5 and 72 degrees allow quick setup for cutting multi-sided shapes such as pentagons, octagons and decagons, ideal for segmented woodturning. The fence can be removed and replaced with the optional box joint jig (supplied separately), to produce precise and consistent box joints at the router table. The jig makes use of a sacrificial phenolic fence to eliminate blowout and ensure an extremely clean, feather-free cut for perfectly adjoining workpieces.

Supplied square and ready to use out of the box, the mitre gauge is also highly adjustable, allowing precise calibration of squareness to both the table top and blade. Carefully engineered from CNC machined aluminium and heavy duty steel components, and featuring a hard-wearing anodised finish, this mitre gauge represents the highest level of build quality and performance. ©
