Stair Tread and Shelf Jig

Stair Tread and Shelf Jig

The Rutlands® stair tread and shelf jig makes length and angle replication a breeze, with no measuring required. Simply place on a stair tread, riser or within an alcove and expand the jig until it fills the space. The angle gauges on both ends will adjust to accommodate any out of square corners, and once aligned, the jig can be locked in place to form a perfect template. Transfer the jig to the workpiece, scribe the cut lines and produce a perfect fitting tread, riser or shelf with no unsightly gaps.

Supplied with 6 sections of track at varying lengths, the jig can be assembled from a minimum working length of 235mm right up to 1570mm, ideal for longer shelves. Two flip stop edge guides hook over the end of the stair tread and provide a perfect edge reference when transferring the jig to the workpiece. Each aluminium component features a hard-wearing, corrosion-resistant anodised finish, with laser etched metric scales on the two angle gauges. Supplied with the jig is a durable woven nylon storage bag, ideal taking out on site. ©
